Brainworking Recursive Therapy®

Mental Health Counselling Services

Counselling services can help us talk through and better understand how we are feeling and our overall state of mental health. We experience many different situations every day in our lives. Our reactions to these situations can make us feel like we are on a roller-coaster of emotions. Sometimes, we can feel great and other times not so great. Being restricted by a fear or phobia, or overwhelmed by anger and frustration are just some of the cause that get us down. Other times, it can feel like we are only just keeping our head above water and trying to survive day-to-day. For many of us when these feelings becoming overwhelming we tend to react in undesirable ways. Unfortunately, in instances when this happens our unintentional behaviours are often towards the ones we love most.

The underlying cause of our reactions is an outcome of how our minds work. Our minds relate stimuli from the environment to common themes from our past. As a result, our minds create an automatic response to situations and events. This response is so fast, we can get caught in the middle of a reaction before we can comprehend what is happening. Allowing these unwanted reactions to occur can serve to reinforce undesired behaviours. Ultimately, this creates a conditioned response and negative belief system within ourselves.

The great news is, the problem and solution both exist in the same place, our minds. This is where we can make the desired change through counselling and BWRT®. Using counselling services for mental health issues and talking with a therapist can help prevent the bottling up of destructive negative emotions like sadness, anger and frustration. Further, it can help us to release unwanted negative emotions, which can have a negative affect on physical and mental wellbeing

BWRT® - Treating Mental Health Issues

Dandelions Weeds or Wishes Counselling Services Change What You See
‘BWRT®’ stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI. Like many other modern therapies, it allows a ‘core of privacy’ so that you do not have to divulge anything you would rather not talk about – in fact, the practitioner only needs to know how you feel and how you would prefer to feel instead

BWRT® is a completely new and different therapy based on the latest discoveries about the way the brain works and how it affects our moods, behaviour and emotions. Only Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code.

How BWRT® Works

In a BWRT® session, the client uses their own thoughts, but the therapist does not need to be aware of these thoughts. In essence, BWRT® allows you to create change from within, rather than from what the therapist says or does. BWRT is a powerful process of therapeutic intervention in the way we feel and react. Moreover, it is a great way of rewiring the brain. As a result it can lead a person to have healthier and more desired responses to situations and life events.

Through our BWRT® sessions, we can assist you with:

  • Increasing confidence
  • Anxiety
  • Fears and phobias
  • Combating depression
  • Anger issues
  • Panic attacks
  • Stress relief
  • Post traumatic stress disorder

What Happens in a BWRT® Session
